We’re seeking a senior-level java expert to join our growing team of developers. We’ve recently taken a new core technology product to market, selling to healthcare payers and providers. Our product is expanding so this position is an essential part of this next phase of the company’s development.

What We’re Looking For
Our ideal candidate has experience building web applications, a deep understanding of system integrations and possess a strong development background. You will be a lead resource on the team and must be able to provide solutions as the first point of contact both with our internal team as well as external stakeholders. If you have experience working in the healthcare industry, ideally, biotechnology or genomics – that is a plus!

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Communicate with internal and external clients regarding system functionality issues

• Work as part of an agile team on application design and development, and technical integrations

• Participate in code reviews – ensuring coding is done according to protocols and procedures 

• Work with senior developers to architect core components of the application

• Attain a deep understanding of requirements to maintain project stability

• Responsible for code development, test coverage, debugging, and application support

• Create, utilize, and update technical documentation

• Participate in the implementation of software systems using Java technologies

 

Here’s What You’ll Need to Succeed

• Bachelor of Science degree in a computer science or related field of study preferred 

• Experience with Java software development, Spring Frameworks, AngularJS, MongoDB, API development, Microservices and integration  

• 5+ years progressive experience in building high-performing, scalable applications

• Ability to quickly respond to evolving requirements

• Analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve software design issues

• Demonstrated leadership abilities in driving operational excellence and best practices

• Critical thinking, attention to detail, and troubleshooting skills

• Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to foster an open communication environment
